Nine Reasons Sunday Is The Worst Day Of The Week

You somehow managed to get through the working week and you really celebrated the fact that it was Friday, and to a certain extent Saturday, but now it is Sunday. The final day of the week is one for road trips and relaxing, but is it all it is cracked up to be? Not really.

1. The Hangover

If you managed to celebrate the entire weekend because it was the weekend, then no doubt Sunday will be a day spent watching rubbish reality TV, living with the fear and/or eating an inordinate amount of junk food.

2. The Fear

Unfortunately, the fear can attack for a number of reasons on Sunday. It may be the hangover that you are undoubtedly suffering or that you have decided to eat everything in your house except the cat. And now you feel really bad because you considered the cat.

3. The Fry

You went home for the weekend to see Mammy but you're friends all dragged you out of the house to go out. You haven't seen your mother in about 17 hours now (that you can remember) but you know you are going to have to go downstairs and face.. the fry. Good luck, friend. Good luck.

4. The Gym

Seeing as you spent the entire weekend eating and drinking anything that didn't move, you have just realised that you are going to have to face the gym on Monday and get back into a "routine". You hate routines. You even hate the word. It sounds sly.

5. NOTHING is open

You might be lucky if some shops open from two until six, if it opens at twelve it is a rarity but most of the time you will not be able to find something that is open on a Sunday. Hairdressers? You're having a laugh.

6. Homework

Whether you're in school, college or a very serious job, you had to do something over the weekend. You just had to... Unfortunately, now you cannot remember what it was. If only Glenroe was on so it could kickstart your memory.

7. Mass

Depending on how religious your household is, there may be a slim chance you might have to go to Mass... with that hangover... and before that fry.

8. You are so bored

So you watch whatever you can find on the TV. Even that film that was never released in the cinema and went straight to DVD with actresses you have never heard of. However, it is either that or you go out and cut the grass or visit the relatives.

9. You have to go back to work tomorrow

And that will hang over your head all the live long day...
