We've all been there - thousands of us around the country have to covertly check our Facebook page at work and some workplaces have banned the site altogether, but now Facebook have announced that they are creating a new website called “Facebook at Work”.
In order to make life easier for thousands of professionals in the workplace, Facebook have decided to create a site which will allow users to chat with their colleagues, connect with other professionals and share documents.
Some of these services are already being offered by sites such as Google and LinkedIn, and the Facebook site will go into direct competition with these. On the new site, it is reported that users will be able to keep their work and personal profiles separate.
According to the report by The Financial Times the new site will operate like the existing Facebook but you will only be connected with colleagues.
