The #nomakeupselfie trend is continuing to grow, with the Irish Cancer Society confirming that donations have now reached a staggering €550,000.
The viral craze has spread across social networking sites like wildfire in recent days, with users making a donation and posting a fresh-faced selfie before nominating their friends to do the same.
Yesterday evening the Irish Cancer Society updated their Facebook page with a picture to celebrate the €440,000 landmark and in just a few hours that figure has increased again by €110,000.
The post read: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to us as a result of #nomakeupselfie. Your incredible generosity will help us continue to provide free cancer services to those affected by cancer in Ireland. Thank you so much!”
