A woman in the Netherlands had to seek medical treatment after she started experiencing orgasms in her left foot about six times a day.
Dubbed as Foot Orgasm Syndrome, this unusual condition caused the 55 year old woman to orgasm spontaneously with the sensation travelling up her leg to her vagina.
The orgasmic sensations were sudden and not brought on by any sexual desires.
"She felt terrible about it," said Dr. Marcel D. Waldinger, the neuropsychiatrist who treated the woman.
"The brain could not anymore differentiate between the foot and the vagina. So that it decided that every stimulus coming from the foot was actually coming from the vagina," resulting in "orgasmic feeling," in the foot he said.
The woman treated with anesthetic that was injected into her spinal nerves and thankfully the orgasms ceased to exist.
She has not had any sporadic orgasms for around eight months now, although she might need to get another shot of anesthetic if her symptoms return.

"It's not psychological," said the doctor. "It's a neurological thing - we can explain it, we can treat it."
Waldinger, who is hoping to hear from more people with similar conditions, has set up a website for people to contact him.
Finally! Footloose and orgasm free.
