We’ve all seen some hilarious things that were accidentally caught on camera by Google’s Street View vans.
We’ve seen people getting arrested, animals doing naughty things and pranksters rushing outside just so they can flash their bum at the vans as they drive by (nice, right?). However, we feel for this poor couple who were papped by Google Street View while they were trying to enjoy an, ahem, ‘intimate’ moment.
Before we show you the picture though, here’s a little background information because here in the Her.ie office, we questioned whether it was actually real or not.
In 2011, Google launched a new feature on Street View called ‘Business Photos.’ Now, this feature isn’t available in Ireland but it’s common practice in the United States, France, Japan, New Zealand and the UK.
The Business Photos feature shows you 360-degree images of store interiors using Google’s Street View technology. Unfortunately, Google just tends to snap the pictures without really checking what’s going on in the shop at the time.
Which pretty much sucks for this couple who were accidentally caught on camera at a Krakatoa store in Briancon, France...

The good news is that Google has since blurred out the image, so there’s no chance of the couple being identified by their pants.
