US President, Barack Obama, is being accused of using onions to make himself cry at a recent speech he made.
During a speech he made at The White House on Tuesday about gun control, Obama shed a few tears when he mentioned Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, where 26 people were shot dead in 2012, including 20 children. He also referred to the violence in his hometown of Chicago.
"Each time I think about those kids it makes me mad. And, by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day."
Opinion has since been divided about how genuine his tears were. A panel of reporters were talking about it on Fox News and assessing how meaningful his tears were.
Fox News reporter, Andrea Tantaros, suggested that he may have had a raw onion at the podium, saying: “check that podium for like a raw onion or some No More Tears.”
