Underneath the mistletoe can be a dodgy place at the annual office party for many reasons. Being single at Christmas can be a little bit sad sometimes (think the opening sequence of Bridget Jones) and after a few glasses of red even the creep from the next cubicle can look appealing.
However, for a lucky few the office party shift leads to exciting new romance.
A new poll has found that only one out of 20 people regretted kissing a colleague their Christmas party and for a lucky one fifth, the Christmas smooch leads to a date in the New Year.

One in three laughed off the kiss at work the next day while one in seven never mentioned the locking of lips again.
The survey conducted by Lovehoney also found that Christmas is an extremely sexy holiday as six out of ten couples get busy on Christmas Eve and 58 per cent of couples ring in the New Year by getting down and dirty.
However, many admitted that Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day are not ideal for getting jiggy as overindulgence kills passion.
Although we’re all for getting the Christmas smooch underneath the mistletoe we’ve always been firm believers in keeping our lips away from colleagues. Facing that mortification in January would definitely bring on the post-Christmas blues.
