There are so many films on TV on a weekly basis, we thought we would draw your attention to some of the better movies that you can check out from the comfort of your own home. Here are seven of the best films that are on TV this week.
1. The Informant, Monday, TG4, 9.30pm.
A delusional executive at an agricultural corporation becomes an FBI mole, setting out to expose his employers' corrupt business practices and make himself a public hero. Starring Matt Damon, this is certainly one of the stranger and more interesting roles he has embarked on...
2. One Day, Tuesday, Film 4, 9pm.
Yes, it isn't as good as the book but One Day, the story of a young couple who the film checks in with once a year, is still worth a watch. Maybe get some tissues.
3. Snatch, Wednesday, 3E, 10pm.
We're not sure what else you would be doing with your Wednesday night besides trying to figure out what Brad Pitt is saying in Snatch. Sure, everyone wants to do that.
4. The Raid, Thursday, Film 4, 11.20pm.
Yes, we know we're asking you to stay up a bit later but we can assure you this adrenaline filled action classic will be entirely worth it.
5. Proof of Life, Friday, RTÉ1, 10.05pm.
A woman seeks the help of a professional negotiator after her husband is kidnapped in the jungles of South America but of course, working with Russell Crowe presents some problems.
6. The Godfather, Saturday, RTÉ1, 9pm.
Arguably one of the most important films ever made, the Godfather tells the story of the rise of a young mob boss and the impact his life has on his family.
7. About Time, Sunday, Sky Premiere, 9pm
We know some of you may not have access to this particular channel but if you do, please watch one of the greatest romance films of all time. Plus it stars our own Domhnall Gleeson. Lovely. All lovely.
