Christmas is a popular time for proposals so one Galway man decided to go the extra mile when popping the question to his girlfriend.
Pól Ó Foighil from Indreabhán in Co Galway wanted to propose to his Glaswegian girlfriend over the festive season and as he is a mechanical engineer, he decided to put his skills to good use.

Luckily, the surprise that she received when she arrived in Ireland earlier this week more than made up for it...
...and she said yes!
Congratulations guys!
