A children’s book entitled Otherworld which had been printed and released in aid of a children’s charity has been withdrawn from shop shelves after readers discovered the story got a little saucier than expected.
The novel, which was written by Adrian Bailey, was initially released to raise funds for Isle of Man charity, the Rebecca House children’s hospice. Bailey had paid for the printing of all copies of the book himself with over 3000 copies sold since 2011.
However, it became clear that U.S. printer MP Publishing had not proof read the book completely when a reader contacted the author to inform him that events certainly heated up after page 472, according to the Telegraph.
The reader had discovered 22 pages worth of extracts from two short lesbian erotica stories. Initially, Bailey assumed it might just be one book, but when another reader contacted him to complain, the author was forced to go public with the event.

Mr. Bailey has now asked for all copies to be removed from shelves, even though it seems just the hard back issues have been affected. "I feel I can no longer stand by while more copies are potentially out there,” the author commented.
The printer has since offered an apology to Mr. Bailey and has assured the author and charity that no more than six copies of the book contained any porn extracts.
It's amazing what they put into kids books these days, eh?
