Some described it as the “female version of the Hangover”, and now one of the Bridesmaids herself is joining the male disaster crew for their third Hangover instalment.
Bridesmaid star Melissa McCarthy is set to have a cameo role in The Hangover 3.
The 42-year-old actress received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2011 comedy. She is now planning to take on the minor role in the forthcoming movie, if schedules can be worked out.
Hangover fans are allowed to be excited now as the movie is in full filming progress, with lead actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifiankis taking to the big screen as before. Other regulars including Mike Tyson, Justin Bartha and Gillam Vigman are all lined up for a role again, with Heather Graham also returning.
It has not been revealed as to what part McCarthy will play yet, other than it is a small role.

The Hangover 3 is due in cinemas next May 24th, 2013.
