"We will be vigilant every day of your tenure as president".

With news that president elect Donald Trump is considering a U-turn on his position to entirely abolish Obamacare, the world is still completely unsure about what type of president he will be. While Trump's statement that “either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced" is not a confirmation or commitment, it's certainly different from his campaign promise to “end Obamacare and replace it with something terrific, for far less money for the country and for the people.” Politicians changing their minds and reneging on promises that they made isn't something that's unique to Trump, however his belief that the U.S medical system needed to be overhauled was just one of the many statements/promises/manifestos that he uttered on the campaign trail. Much has been made of his controversial views on immigration, deportation, Muslims, surveillance and abortion - to name just a  few - and the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) has reminded the incoming president that he must abide by the laws and constitution of the US. The ACLU is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal and advocacy organisation that's devoted to protecting the basic civil liberties of everyone in America. They never stop working in the U.S courts and communities because they're responsible for defending and preserving the individual rights and liberties of the people that are protected by the Constitution and laws of the United States. The organisation wants to see changes in some of Trump's key policy positions.

• No mass deportation.
• No ban on Muslim immigration or "aggressive surveillance" that targets them.
• No restrictions on women's rights to abortion services.
• No water boarding or torture.
• No change on libel laws or restrictions on free speech.
