Organisation Uses Celebrity Instagram Accounts To Raise Awareness Of Alcohol And Drug Addiction

2014's Most Popular Instagram Picture was revealed at the end of last year and unsurprisingly starred the 'World's Most Talked About Couple', Kim and Kanye. Over the last three years picture sharing site Instagram has become one of the biggest social media networks in the world. With its rise in popularity, the number of famous faces actively using the app increased rapidly. Addiction Treatment charted the images shared by some of the biggest musicians, models, actors and comedians. The celebrities that uploaded the most images are: Through its project 'Instagram Intoxicated', the site continued to analyse images shared on the social media in a bid to raise awareness to the seriousness of alcohol and drug addiction. Since 2011, the number of photographs shared containing drug and/or alcohol has risen: The project addresses the issue of celebrities publicising content of this kind and if it "could it be contributing to the rise of substance abuse and addiction?"
