The ORIGINAL Tamagotchi is making a comeback and we’re delighted

Truth time… some of us in the office may not have been the best Tamagotchi mammies, some of us may have let them die on purpose so they could be reincarnated as puppies.

YOU ALL DID IT DON’T LIE.

Anyway enough truth time, let’s just say that we’re very excited because it looks like the iconic 90’s virtual pet is making a comeback.

Bandai, the original makers of the hand-held eggs have released a video announcing the news.

Now… it is in Japanese, and we don’t speak Japanese, but we’ve been able to establish three things.

1. They are in fact being re-released
2. They will NOT go down well in your office
3. We’ve been pronouncing Tamagotchi wrong for over 20 years

 

 

They’re currently available on Amazon Japan for 2000 Yen which is the equivalent of around €17.

No news yet of the originals hitting our shores but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

And we PROMISE to be better mammies.
