A Donegal pub landlord has closed the doors of his business, but not before taking out a stinging advert in the local paper to slam village residents for their lack of support.
William Flood, proprietor of Big Paddy’s in Rathmullan, closed his doors last week after a number of failed attempts at increasing footfall.
The small population of the scenic seaside town apparently failed to take to Mr. Flood’s business, but it seems he was determined to go out with a bang.
To mark the closing of his doors, Flood took out an advert in local paper The Tirconnall Tribune, which read: “Big Paddy's has closed it's Doors! I would like to take this time and personally thank the people of Rathmullan for supporting me in this venture over the last 18 months NOT!! Thanks” [SIC]
