The parents of a student who died while texting and driving have published his last, unsent text to deter others.
Alexander Heit, who attended the University of Northern Colorado, died earlier this month after sustaining injuries in a car crash. He was texting at the time.
His parents decided to publish the text, which was never finished, in the Greely Tribune in the hope of warning others.
His mother Sharon wrote alongside the picture: “I can’t bear the thought of anyone else having to go through something like this. Please, vow to never, NEVER text and drive.
“In a split second you could ruin your whole future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the hearts of everyone who loves you.”
