Paris is installing sparkling water fountains so you can get your fizz on

Get ya fizz on.

Sparkling water is a tricky one.

You either love it…. or have absolutely no idea as to why somebody would want carbonated water that literally just tastes like a fizzy flavoured drink that’s been sitting open for approximately six weeks.

But hey, some people have different tastes to others, we guess.

Hopefully some of those people live in Paris, because the city is planning on installing sparkling water fountains for the dweller who fancies a bit of fizz on the go.

The introduction of these fancy fountains originally started back in 2010, but now, according to CityLab, planners are hoping to have at least one sparkling water fountain in each of Paris’s 20 arrondissements.

The reasoning behind this is not just to appeal to the tastes of those who aren’t that into still water, either.

It’s to encourage more people in Paris to drink water in general and to reduce the amount of plastic that goes to waste every year.

Sounds like a good initiative to us, if you’re into your bubbles.
