What do you think?
When you’re flying there are some things which might iritate you. The person infront of you lowering back their seat the full way, the person beside you invading your space and if someone pokes their foot through the seat and onto your arm rest.
Gross.
Then there are other scenarios which could be annoying but you just have to ignore, like when a child is screaming or kicking the back of your seat. While admittedly it isn’t the most desirable outcome for a flight, you just have to tollerate it long enough for the parent and child’s sake.
In order to combat this, an airline in India, IndiGo, has decided to create a child friendly zone which doesn’t allow children under the age of 12 to sit in it. It’s called the ‘quiet zone’.
According to The Hindustan Times, they said their reason for doing so is “in order to provide a hassle-free flying experience for customers”. The quiet zone extends from rows 1-4 and 11-14.
As you can imagine people are not happy with this and have taken to Twitter to vent.
When airlines create #ChildFreeFlights it’s basically a shout to parents to get their kids to behave. In the meantime, buy earphones

I’m surprised airlines haven’t agreed sooner to #childfreeflights Easy profit to be made for those people who want a blissfully quiet flight

While a lot of people are not impressed others are welcoming the new change and even hope for it to happen elsewhere.
#childfreeflights should be on all airlines, not just the one.

Just because you’re stuck listening to your brat screaming for hours doesn’t mean other PAX should be too. This is genius. #childfreeflights
