We all know that when you are in school, the approval of a teacher can help you secure your first summer job, and in the US, it can even have some severe implications on your chances of getting into a college of your choice.
Naturally, asking your teacher for a letter of recommendation is a fairly nerve-wracking experience, but you hope when you do that you'll receive a glowing endorsement that will make you feel like a regular Lisa Simpson.
