We all know that when you are in school, the approval of a teacher can help you secure your first summer job, and in the US, it can even have some severe implications on your chances of getting into a college of your choice.
Naturally, asking your teacher for a letter of recommendation is a fairly nerve-wracking experience, but you hope when you do that you’ll receive a glowing endorsement that will make you feel like a regular Lisa Simpson.
One Imgur user, yakmo asked his teacher for one such letter, and he received the sickest burn of all time in return.
Talk about damning with faint praise.

Don’t worry, though, Jack posted an update saying that his teacher was only joking around, and bestowed a detailed and descriptive letter upon him shortly after.
We imagine as a teacher this kind of stuff is what you live for.
