On a list of things you don't expect to see on the BBC, the future King of England with a penis drawn on his head would have to be pretty high up there.
Unfortunately for at least one employee though, that's exactly what happened earlier today.
The mortifying gaffe happened when comedy barbershop quartet Barbershopera were making an appearance on BBC Breakfast this morning, during which footage was shown of their music video ‘I could have married Kate’.
A BBC spokeswoman said of the incident: "This image was shown fleetingly within a comedy promotional video for Barbershopera, a humorous barbershop group, who were appearing later on in the programme.
"The material was provided by Barbershopera but we failed to spot the offending material within it. We apologise for this."
Ah we're sure Prince Willy wouldn't mind all that much...
