PIC: Laois Mum Gets Big Surprise With Son’s First Handwritten Mother’s Day Card

We would say the teachers certainly got a giggle out of this one.

Ah but you know what he meant… well, not really actually.

Laois Mum Frieda Archbold got quite a surprise today when her five-year-old son Danny brought home his first handwritten Mother’s Day card.

The tot, from Laois had answered a series of questions about his Mammy, including her favourite TV programme (Hollyoaks) and her favourite things to eat (milk and potato.)

However, when it came to ‘Favourite thing to do’, Frieda was quite taken aback to see that Danny wrote “ride Albert in the field”, particularly as she has no idea who “Albert” is.

Card

She told Her.ie:

“It was my first written Mother’s Day card from him.
“I thought he might have said my favourite thing was makeup as I’m a makeup artist, or getting my hair done.
“I don’t have a clue who Albert is.
“When I asked him he said it was the pony I bought last week, completely made up in his little head.”
We also enjoy the fact that his love is based on the fact that she brings him to the shop.
 Priorities.
Thanks to Frieda Archbold for sending this our way. If you have something you think Her readers would love, hit us up on [email protected] or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
