An image showing the officer (absolute gentleman) coaxing the little dog with a small bit of a protein snack bar was posted on Twitter by the Californian Highway Patrol Contra Costa office.
It wasn't long before this little girl found herself in the care of a local animal shelter who promise to find the tiny chihuahua a new home.
