No doubt there are many people country-wide nursing themselves back to full health with a spice bag and some blue Powerade.
Dublin city centre was heaving with people celebrating our National Saint’s day by getting completely trollied, and today we’d like to spare a thought for those who had to clean up the disaster zones today.
Temple Bar was particularly affected as it’s already a massive tourist hub on the quietest of days, and Dublin City Council maintenance workers had some job to do to get the cobblestoned streets back to a decent state.
The tweet below, spotted by JOE.ie shows just what these heroic workers had to deal with in order to make our capital look presentable once again.
Temple Bar at 6am this morning, versus just before 8am. Hats off to the @DubCityCouncil cleaning crew. pic.twitter.com/pP4OmNqDab
