PICS: Mum With Ileostomy Bag Shares Underwear Selfie To Inspire Others To Embrace Themselves

"We can still rock our worlds with our bellys out!"

A young Mum who suffers from Crohn’s Disease is sharing a powerful message of self-acceptance on social media.

Thirty-five-year-old Krystal Miller, from Perth, was fitted with an ileostomy bag at 22, after having her large intestine, some of her small intestine and her anus removed in gruelling surgery.

Despite being told initially that she would be unable to have children, she fell pregnant with her son Luka at 31 and suffered four miscarriages before having a baby girl, Arabella.

Since the surgery, which she says made her feel “healthy” with “a different life, because the life I was living wasn’t one”, Krystal has taken part in charity events to help other people with ostomy bags wear underwear and swimwear that makes them feel sexy.

She writes on her Facebook page, Bag Lady Mama, that she wants to show other sufferers that “we can still rock our worlds with our bellys out”.

She writes:

“I want to be a famous advocate for ‘bag ladies’ like myself.”

“And let them know they can live a full life, they can have children, that’s a big thing for women.”

What kind of undies do you wear?..Me, I like the sexy granny panties! Anything high waisted and lacy! It helps support…
