PICS: Purple Rain? The Irish Skies Are Looking Particularly Different This Evening

Pink sky at night, shepherd's delight. Pink sky at morning, shepherd's warning. Orange and Purple sky in the evening?  Strange things were happening over Dublin city and the outskirts this evening, as the sky took on a very unusual colour. There is no rhyme, so what does this mean for the shepherds? Confused folk shared images to Twitter and Instagram...
