If you love a good rom-com and pine after your own fairytale brief encounter, this story might be just what you need to restore your faith in humanity. On Wednesday morning, one Reddit user TwistnRoll took a picture of a note she found hanging in her building in Lyon, France. The note was in a communal hallway of her apartment building, and roughly translates: Note to a neighbor I ran into you one night, and I didn't note your name I just know that you live here and we said good-bye on this doorstep You know where I work and I will wait for you there anyway To finally be able to put a name on your face. Don't throw this away or else she won't be able to see it. The note seemed to work as well, with the Reddit user coming home around 6.30pm that evening to see there had been a reply. In a blue scrawled reply, the update read: "I don't know if this is about me ...What is the first letter of your name?" The love affair continued, when at 9pm the Redditor noticed a new response to the blue enquiry: "It's a Y (and this is about you) :)” Unfortunately, that’s where the notes end… but we’d like to believe that the couple found each other and ran away together.
