PICTURE: Baby Elephant Left Inconsolable After His Mum’s Attempt To Kill Him

A baby elephant cried his little heart out for five hours after his mother violently rejected him.

Zhuang Zhuang, a newborn at a wildlife park in China, was distraught after being rejected by his mother, as she tried to stomp him to death shortly after giving birth. 

Zookeepers rescued the little fella but were unable to settle him for hours as he wept uncontrollably.

Zhuang Zhuang cried for five hours after being violently rejected by his mother.

The baby elephant was separated from his mother and has now been adopted by the Shendiaoshan wild animal reserve in Rong-cheng.  

We did warn that this would make you teary eyed.
