Picture Perfect: The Couple Who Met And Married On Instagram

A picture can say a thousand words. Sometimes it leads you to say just two, “I do.” Denis LaFargue and Elizabeth Wisdom fell in love at first sight… of their Instagram accounts. According to Jezebel, LaFargue picked out Wisdom’s feed when he started recognising pictures of some of the familiar places he too had visited. Biting the bullet, LaFargue decided to post a comment underneath one of Wisdom’s photos. The couple struck up a friendship, which extended to lengthy phone calls and messages on both of their accounts. According to ABC News, the couple became closer over their conversations and Wisdom asked to meet in person. Wisdom later travelled to New Orleans on October 19th 2012 for their first real-life encounter, which resulted in the pair starting to date shortly after.

Despite family reservations, the couple began dating and just over a year later, LaFargue proposed to his “Instalady” in a barn covered with photos from their Instagram accounts. The couple officially tied the knot on October 13th, and Elizabeth took the step of changing her name on her account to reflect her new name, ElizabethLaFargue. Proof that you can find love online… once you know where to look.
