Andy Murray became the first British man to win the Wimbledon title in 77 years, the last winner being Fred Perry in 1936.
However, Perry was the last man to win the title, but there was a British woman who took home the singles title in 1977. Virginia Wade, from Bournemouth, won Wimbledon just 36 years ago.
