PICTURES: Bondi Hipsters Re-Create The Infamous Miranda Kerr GQ Photo Shoot And It’s Perfect

When we saw the Australian band The Bondi Hipsters had recreated the Miranda Kerr GQ photo shoot, we thought it would be hilarious - and we were right, but it is so much more. The project had an aim: to shed light on the "over-sexualization of the female body in the high fashion world." We think that successfully making a statement like that and making people laugh in the process is incredibly impressive. "For some reason as soon as you put a man in there, and have a man talking about same-sex curiosity and masturbation it's an entirely different thing that we aren't used to seeing in the media." They even re-quoted some of the things that Kerr said in her GQ interview, from the perspective of a male. The attention to detail is unbelievable. That facial expression, the hand. Even the random stuffed toy wasn't left out. Miranda Kerr said in her interview with GQ that the more sex she has, the more defined her arms and stomach gets. "The more sex I have, the hairier I get," Dom Nader said. "If I was really smashed, I'd give a guy a wristy... I just wouldn't tell anyone... especially a magazine," they said referring to Kerr's infamous confession about wanting to "experiment with the female form." We think they've made their point.
