Piers Morgan Tells Miley Cyrus To Tune-In To Interview With Dad, Billy Ray

Billy Ray Cyrus tweeted a message early Monday morning, where just a few short hours previous his daughter was onstage performing at the MTV VMAs. 

The tweet read: 'Thanking God for so many blessings tonight. Continue to pray for world peace. More love ...less hate.'

Many believed that Billy Ray was tweeting in support of daughter’s controversial performance with Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke; after all it did receive 306,000 tweets per second, which is more than Beyoncé’s Superbowl performance and the New York blackout.

Miley delighted with all the attention.

However the country legend cleared up the matter last night by confirming that he was in fact referring to the dire situation in Syria.

 

For You Information, Billy Ray clarifies that he was infact making a reference to the current devastating situation in Syria.

The singer explained that he was, "watching devastating news out of Syria" on Sunday night. "Chemical weapons used on innocent children is unacceptable!" he tweeted.

The journalist turned chat show host tweeted Miley encouraging her to tune-in to father, Billy Ray’s interview on his CNN show, Piers Morgan Tonight.

Morgan tells the singer she "may want to watch."
