Last week we saw a wedding dress made of toilet roll and this week we’ve come across a wedding dress made of condoms.
That’s right someone in Shoalhaven in Australia has made a dress, with a fitted bodice and train, made of the contraceptive.
But it’s not for a bride on her special day. It’s actually to raise awareness about protecting against the sexually-transmitted disease Chlamydia after a rise in diagnoses in the area.
The dress, which has been nicknamed ‘Connie’ according to reports, is on display in the City Council’s Entertainment Centre.
Speaking about it, Mayor Joanna Gash said: “Council is trying to address a real problem and look after the health of the local community by drawing further attention to the issue of STI and promoting the importance of safe-sex practices.”
