Kids can be so cute sometimes, huh? A letter written by a little girl has gone viral after a Yosemite National Park Ranger posted it on the photo-sharing website Reddit.com.
The letter outlines how awful poor little Evie feels after she accidentally took two sticks from the park even though she knew she was “not supposed to take things.”
Evie was so wracked with guilt that she actually attached the two sticks to the letter and sent it to the rangers, one of whom, bestmattever, decided to share Evies note with the world.
Here’s Evie’s letter:
This is what it says, just in case you’re having trouble reading it:
“Dear park rangers,
I am a Yosemite Junior Ranger, I went to Yosemite recently and accidentally brought home two sticks. I know I’m not supposed to take things from the park, so I am sending them back. Please put them in nature.
Thank you,
Evie.”
Bestmattever said that despite the fact little Evie took the sticks, she wouldn’t be getting in trouble.
“I sent her a nice letter and an extra Junior Ranger badge. I told her how impressed we all were, and how we hung her letter in our office so we could show others how great our Junior Rangers like Evie are,” he said, in a comment on the thread.
As for Evie’s request to put the sticks back in nature, the park ranger said that he’ll be taking pictures of various parts of the park and will ask Evie where she thinks they should be placed.
