Every month, the Her.ie Book Club picks one book for our podcast, Between the Covers. This month, we have chosen the Joyce Maynard novel, Labor Day.
The book tells the story of star crossed lovers, Frank and Adele, who, despite the unusual circumstances surrounding their meeting, fall deeply in love. The story is told from the perspective of Adele’s thirteen-year-old son, Henry, who witnesses the events that take place over a Labor Day weekend.
Warning, there are a couple of spoilers in here if you haven’t read the book yet!
