We’ve got a live show, a new series and a classic flick. What more could you possibly want from your television on a Friday night?
Modern Family – Sky One (8:00pm)
It’s the first episode of the new series and we couldn’t be more excited! The clan are celebrating Jay’s birthday but as usual, things don’t exactly go to plan. Expect a bit of drama and lots of laughs.

Strictly Come Dancing – BBC One (9:00pm)
Finally the stars are taking to the floor for this year’s competition. Six, including our very own Nicky Byrne, are performing this evening in front of the judges. Bring on the jazz hands, the hip-shaking and the slips and trips!
Piers Morgan’s Life Stories – UTV (9:00pm)
Tonight the journalist-turned-television-personality is talking to Boyzone singer Ronan Keating. As well as talking about his personal life and the band, Ronan will perform a track from his new album Fires.
Alan Carr: Chatty Man – Channel 4 (10.35pm)
The chatty, funny man welcomes Take Me Out host Paddy McGuiness, a few of the dragons from the UK version of Dragon’s Den and some Strictly Come Dancing contestants onto his sofa this evening.
Wall Street – RTÉ One (23.55pm)
For your Friday film fix we are picking out Wall Street starring a very young, and rather handsome, Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen. It’s about a young stockbroker who is willing to do anything to get to the top.
