The App, ironically titled ‘Pure,’ promises to find you sex with no-strings-attached by the touch of a button.
Two friends Roman Sidorenko and Alexander Kukhtenko were experiencing a sexual dry spell last January when they decided to take matters in to their own hands. (Not like that).
Co-founders Roman and Alexander were going through a dry spell.
The friends who called themselves ‘pomosexuals’ a term used to describe people who regard sexual labels (a.k.a gay, straight etc.) as insignificant.
"We wanted an easy way to find sex, basically," says Sidorenko.
Pure, which is awaiting approval by Apple’s App Store plans to go live next week.
Grindr launched in 2009 for only the gay community was the first majorly successful minimalist sex app of its kind.
However co-founder Sidorenko tells New York magazine "Grindr is nothing but a traditional dating site."
"It’s very interesting to see what Fifty Shades of Gray did for the pleasure-products industry... it became okay to talk about BDSM stuff. It became okay to buy sex toys. This is the way the dating industry will be changed."
The appealing theory behind the app is that it eliminates the process down to essential stats and logistics like gender, age, appearance, location, and availability.
Just 'Pure' no-strings-attached sex.
Sex is the only focus of the app.The app takes the 'fuss' out of flirting for sexy time.Show it. Deny.
The Pure website features this the bizarre short film appears on the apps website.
The clip finishing with these words: “We don’t know what the question is, but sex is definitely the answer.”
