The clear brisk winter skies of the last few weeks are to be replaced with gale-force winds and possible flooding in the coming days according to Met Eireann.
Winds are expected to reach 110 kmp today making driving conditions dangerous for motorists.

Western coastal counties are expected to be the worse hit as winds ranging between 90 and 110kmh are expected to hit today and tonight, the midlands will be hit with damaging and severe winds.
Forecasters are predicting heavy fog and frosty roads tomorrow morning and are urging motorists to take extra care for the next few days as strong winds and heavy rainfall are set to continue into Thursday.
