No-one likes being ghosted.
If you are unfamiliar with the term, you are probably (unfortunately) not unfamiliar with the concept - basically someone just stops texting you back in order to end your relationship/seeing-each-other-thing.
The worst part of being ghosted is probably the feeling of helplessness and lack of control over the situation - however relationship expert James Preece tells Cosmopolitanthat you don't have to sit on your hands in the situation.
He recommended twelve tips to increase your chances of getting texted back.
Some are cute and logical - ask a question, be flirty, think outside the box with your topic, play hard to get - yes absolutely.
However, we were a little unsure about this one:
"If you ever find that things have gone really quiet and you want to stimulate the conversation again, send them a completely blank text."
James continues: "Hopefully they'll reply asking what you meant so now you are back in touch. Once they do this, you can 'apologise' and say your phone was playing up. Then follow right up with a question and ask them how things are going."
Yikes - this was our first port of call in primary school, and is probably the oldest and most obvious tricks in the book.
What do you think? Do you think it would work? Or would you run a mile?
