Research Warns Against Carrying Your Phone In Your Pocket Or Bra

Bra?

Cathy Donohue

If you have a habit of carrying your phone in your bra and/or pocket, then you’ll probably want to rethink it.

American scientist Dr Devra Davis, recently gave a talk at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences where she said that too much exposure to your phone can have major health repercussions.

Dr Davis said: “The pattern of putting cellphones in the bra, and now there’s a new device where you can actually have the phone strapped to your head, made me concerned about what we know about exposure to phones”.

News.com.au reports that the doctor then cited a medical case where a woman developed a tumour, similar in shape to her mobile phone, in her breast.

Although radiation has been used to make positive leaps in the medical arena, it is still important to remember that experts believe it can have a detrimental effect on the body.

In addition to the facts gleaned from Dr Davis, some professionals believe radiation has the ability to damage DNA and change how the brain’s metabolism works.

While there are different opinions on how much radiation a mobile phone can actually emit, we’re going to keep them in our bags from now on.
