There are big changes underway in RTE…

Rick O’ Shea’s immensely popular weekday afternoon show on 2FM is moving to the weekend.

Speaking about the move, which is part of a major reshuffle of the broadcast schedule, Rick expressed his excitement.

He said: “Over the past 14 years, 2fm has become my home and I’m thrilled to be a big part of this new and exciting schedule. The weekends are a brand new adventure for me and the guys and we very much look forward to disrupting your mornings with our usual brand of total nonsense.

“For all the shows listeners, we’re moving shop around the corner and the sign over the door will remain the same. See you on the other side!”

Rick’s slot will be taken over by Spin 1038’s Tracey Clifford.

Rick will now present a weekend radio show from 11-1 on Saturdays and Sundays alongside Cormac Battle and will “continue to bring listeners their unpredictable, off-the-wall show with great competitions, live bands, social media trends and live broadcasts from around the country”.

His weekday slot will be taken over by Tracey Clifford, who listeners may recognise from Spin 1038’s Fully Charged with Ryan and Tracey.
