Risk Of Snow As Met Éireann Issue Yellow Weather Warning

It's going to get EVEN colder.

Cathy Donohue

Met Éireann has said there is a risk of sleet and snow in some parts of the country tonight.

The national forecaster issued a national yellow weather warning for today with ‘gusty, southerly winds’ predicted.

Temperatures are expected to drop to zero degrees tonight with ‘frost and icy patches’ likely to develop.

There’s also likely to be outbreaks of rain, particularly in the east of the country, which will turn to sleet and snow, particularly on higher ground.

Things are set to improve considerably tomorrow and forecasters say “a cold bright day with sunny spells’ is on the cards.

Happy days (even if the rain is likely to return from Thursday).
