The lady had to be laid out on the floor of the bar and worked on by paramedics, and thankfully survived the attack.
However, manager of the bar, Chris Burton, was quick to clear up the confusion on Facebook, with a response that has received thousands of positive comments from around the world.
In his rebuttle, he labelled the woman's complaint "disgusting".
Since the posts have attracted so much attention online, the salon at which the young woman works has been forced to speak out.
In a social media post about the incident, they assured customers that the woman's views in no way reflected their own.
