If you were hoping to catch a glimpse of Michael Fassbender or Colin Farrel at the Irish Film and Television Awards tomorrow, we have some bad news: they’re not attending the event (sob, sob!).
The Irish Independent reports that even though he’s nominated for the Best Actor in Film award at the ceremony, Castleknock-born Colin has opted to skip the event and stay in New York instead. He’s currently shooting a new movie in the Big Apple and simply doesn’t have the time to make an appearance in Dublin.
Likewise, the goregous Michael Fassbender will be missing in action too. Fassbender, who is half-Irish, has been in the UK this week because he’s appearing on the Graham Norton Show tonight and, according to reports, he’s planning on staying in London until Sunday when he will make an appearance at the BAFTAs.

The Irish Film and Television Awards are on tomorrow night
So yes, sadly, two major hotties will be missing from the IFTA red carpet but hey, we’ll make do with all the fab talent that’s on offer anyway (plus we can totally Sky+ Fassbender’s Graham Norton appearance and use it to comfort ourselves in his absence).
The IFTAs will be broadcast tomorrow on RTE One at 9.35pm and it’s being presented by our very own Saoirse Ronan. It’s definitely worth a watch!
