Anyone with information about this raccoon should contact our animal helpline on 03000 999 999. ➡https://t.co/KetLeTxgSI pic.twitter.com/McmsQCkZkF — SCOTTISH SPCA (@ScottishSPCA) November 20, 2018
"It is illegal to release a non-indigenous species into the wild, so we believe it may have been a pet that has escaped."If no one comes forward to claim the little guy, he will need a specific home:
"If we are unable to identify the racoon's owner we will find a specialist who will be able to provide the expert care that racoons require."And it seems the racoon is descending into delinquency since his escape. He was caught on security footage and believed to have killed local chickens. So you might have your patience tested if you're thinking of giving him a new fur-ever home! The SPCA has been operating for over 175 years and there's quite a wide variety of animals that are up for adoption. From cats and dogs to snakes, horses and ferrets, they have a pet for every family. We hope the racoon gets reunited with his owner or finds a new loving home very soon. And we hope he leaves his criminal ways behind him - a cute face can only get you so far! Main Image Via Scottish SPCA Twitter.
