Sesame Street director Lisa Simon has died at the age of 64.
The news was confirmed by Jodi Lefkowitz, who told The Hollywood Reporter that Simon had passed away on April 4th.
According to reports, she had just finished work on the most recent season of the popular children’s TV show.
She started her career with the show as an intern, before moving up to become production assistant and later, a producer. She then became director alongside Jon Stone from season 13.
The talented director won 20 Daytime Emmys throughout her 40-year career.
She is also well-known for producing and directing other children’s hits including Bear in the Big Blue House and Between the Lions.
