Hell no H20!
Another super simple way to combat indigestion and bloating is to drink fluids after rather than during meals. Drinking while you eat actually slows down your digestion process. Don't you just learn something every day?
Don't eat before bedtime
Try to avoid eating anything for at least two hours before you go to bed. Eating before bed gives our bodies immediate fuel to be used as energy, but we don't need energy at this time. If you are hungry at bedtime, go for a small healthy snack (like an apple or a slice of cheese) to satisfy you until breakfast.
Listen to your body
If you find yourself feeling uncomfortable after eating a certain type of meal, avoid it in the future. Spicy, acidic, fatty, fried and processed foods all common sources of indigestion. By listening to your body you'll learn what type of food works and doesn't work for you.
Get out in the air
If you're starting to feel the effects of indigestion or are bloated, one of the best things to do is to go for a walk. Gentle exercise will go a long way to soothe a stomach on the way to over-producing digestive chemicals.
If you're worried about indigestion this festive season, get your hands on some Maalox Plus Triple action formula. This established remedy provides fast relief from bloating, trapped-wind, indigestion and heartburn. Find out more at www.maaloxplus.ie
