Seven-Year-Old Girl Writes Letter To Lego Pointing Out Gender Stereotypes In Toys

Seven-year-old Charlotte Benjamin has penned a letter to toy manufacturer Lego about gender stereotyping in toys. Charlotte was prompted to write the letter after she noticed a distinct lack of  'girl Lego' characters on a visit to a toy store. It has since been shared online by thousands of people who agree with the little girl's thoughts. In the passionate yet endearing letter, Charlotte said that the girls 'had no jobs' while the boys 'went on adventures'. Lego has been a popular children's toy for many years Read the letter in full below: Dear Lego company, My name is Charlotte. I am 7 years old and I love legos but I don’t like that there are more Lego boy people and barely any Lego girls. Today I went to a store and saw legos in two sections the girls pink and the boys blue. All the girls did was sit at home, go to the beach, and shop, and they had no jobs but the boys went on adventures, worked, saved people, and had jobs, even swam with sharks.
