Salem Massachusetts Police are searching for a woman who was caught brutally beating mother, Catherine Ferreira, as her child watched on.
The 27-year-old victim’s assault was caught on camera and her two-year-old son can be seen attempting to intervene during the attack.
Chief of Police, John J Pelura III, called the horrific footage “physically sickening”.
"Police in this county deal with this type of violence every day. Yet, this video is physically sickening to watch”.
The attacker has been identified as 25-year-old Latia Harris, a former work colleague of the victim.
Latia, who is yet to be apprehended, will face charges of aggravated assault and two counts of making terroristic threats, Pelura added.
As previously stated above, the video contains graphic footage and scenes of extreme violence.
