“With Prosecco now dominating the market, Skinny Prosecco will be a brand that I’m confident that everyone will look for on the shelves and on their wine lists this year.”
Cheers!
A few months back we learnt about Skinny Prosecco – possibly the best news about alcohol in a long time. Then it arrived in Ireland and was made available through the folks at Wines of The World.
And now it’s just been made available in Brown Thomas – hurrah! From today you’ll be able to purchase a bottle in-store at Brown Thomas in Dublin, Cork and Limerick and it costs €24.
Amanda Thomson, the genius behind the product, came up with a way for us to enjoy a glass or two (or three, let’s be realistic) of the bubbly drink without overdoing our calorie intake.
With 67 calories per 100 ml, it has less than half the sugar content in a traditional glass.
The product is organic and suitable for vegans. It’s described as, “light and refreshing with floral and apple aromas on the nose. The palate is fresh, lively, and fruity with great acidity and notes of green apple, golden apple, honeydew melon, and pear.”
We’ve tried it in here and can confirm it is delicious.
Speaking about the drink, Amanda Thomson said:
“We’re all obsessed with the new war on sugar.
“I was raised on a sugar-free diet by my mother and now 40 years later, it’s finally being recognised as the way forward for many like me who want to avoid the deadly granules.
