Smoking stinks. Literally.
If you’re one of those people who have yet to kick the cigarette habit despite the health risks, we may have just found something that may finally put you off smoking altogether.
The UK’s Local Government Association (LGA) warns that cigarette circulating on the black market have been found to contain ‘human excrement’.
Cigarettes seized during raids across England were found to contain human excrement.
According to ITV, the LGA also said that the selling of illegal cigarettes is hampering campaigns to reduce smoking and costing tax payers millions.
It is also reported that these black market cigarettes pose serious fire risks compared to their legal counterparts.
Spokesperson for the LGA, Councillor Joanna Spicer, urged people purchasing these counterfeit goods to "think twice".
"People buying cheap cigarettes might think they are getting a great deal - but the truth is that they're not," she said.
"If they knew what they might contain, they might think twice about buying them".
